The Team

Ashley Stansberry has lived in East Tennessee her entire life. She and her husband of 20 years have two children, Hunter and Olivia and have recently added three bonus children to their family (Jonathan, David and Hannah). Hunter is married to Alanis, and they currently reside in Alabama while pursuing their education and careers. Olivia graduates from Christ Legacy Academy May 2026 and is also a volunteer at Foster Village. Ashley is a faithful member of her church, Woodward Church of God, and an active volunteer in children’s ministry.

Ashley graduated high school in 2003 and received her Licensed Practical Nurse license in 2004. She has worked as a nurse for over 21 years and currently serves as a Care Coordinator for Brookdale Senior Living. In her 21 years of nursing she has also worked with children and adults in mental health services. Through this work, Ashley has seen firsthand the importance of kinship and foster families and how equipping them, connecting with them, and advocating for them can better the lives of all those involved. Ashley has been a volunteer with Foster Village for nearly 4 years and has been honored to serve on the Board of Directors as secretary for the past 2 years.
